Frequently asked questions

When you book one of our 3000+ Drivy Open cars, you only need a smartphone to access it. Before the trip, we'll verify your profile and documents. On the day of the rental, you'll receive the exact location of the car an hour before your trip starts, and then you can simply unlock the car with your smartphone.
All Drivy trips are covered by insurance, but you may still have to pay a certain amount if you damage the vehicle during the rental. However, you can opt to pay for a reduced deductible to minimise the amount you'd pay if you're responsible for damage. You can select this option when you pay for your trip, or any time before the beginning of the rental (go to Your Rentals > Selected rental).
You can easily download and print the receipts for all your Drivy trips. Log in from your web browser (not the app), then proceed to Your Payments. Here, you'll find a list of all the payments you've made on Drivy, including links to download the transaction receipts. As a peer-to-peer rental company, we can't provide invoices including VAT. However, our payment receipt has the same legal value and can also be used as an expense report.
No, it doesn't. Ideally, you'd refill the tank to the same level of fuel that it was at the start of the rental so that it's ready for the next driver. But if you're short on time and can't stop by a petrol station, you can return the car as-is, and we'll charge you the price of fuel consumed, plus a refill fee up to £20.
Unfortunately, we don't have company accounts on Drivy yet, but we're currently looking into developing this feature. For now, every employee who needs to use Drivy has to create their own account so we can verify their IDs and licences.
Every trip includes 100 miles per rental day (with a maximum of 600 miles per trip). If you drive more than the included mileage, you'll be charged a fixed price per additional mile driven: £0.15 for economy vehicles (cat.1), £0.17 for comfort vehicles (cat.2) and £0.25 for premium vehicles (cat.3).
